BPIA COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE DESCRIPTION

Why Communications

The Communications Committee is the voice of BPIA — shaping how our organization shows up to the world, tells its story, and connects with members, partners, and global audiences. This committee brings together storytellers, designers, strategists, and digital enthusiasts who believe in the power of communication to inform, inspire, and influence impact.

Through social media, newsletters, digital campaigns, and creative design, the committee amplifies BPIA’s mission to develop leaders, reach back to the next generation, and expand our global community. Members help ensure that BPIA’s voice reflects professionalism, innovation, and cultural pride — while promoting events, programs, and milestones across platforms.

The Communications Committee is perfect for students, recent graduates, and professionals who want to grow their portfolio, gain real-world marketing experience, and contribute to an organization making a difference globally. Whether you’re a skilled writer, visual designer, strategist, or someone simply curious about branding and storytelling, there’s a place for your creativity and growth here.

Types of Activities

The Communications Committee engages in dynamic, hands-on activities that bring BPIA’s brand and mission to life. Members can expect to contribute through creative collaboration, skill-building, and storytelling that strengthen our digital presence and member engagement.

Common activities include:

  • Social Media Strategy & Management: Create, schedule, and design posts for BPIA’s social platforms to highlight events, programs, and member achievements.

  • Newsletter & Blog Writing: Draft content that informs and inspires members — from event recaps to professional spotlights.

  • Graphic Design & Branding: Design flyers, infographics, and digital assets aligned with BPIA’s brand and visual identity.

  • Photography & Videography: Capture BPIA events and produce engaging visuals for web and social media.

  • Digital Campaigns & Marketing: Support awareness and recruitment drives that elevate BPIA’s visibility and impact.

  • Committee Projects: Collaborate on communication plans, analytics tracking, and creative campaigns that promote BPIA’s mission year-round.
