Background: In recent decades the nature of work has changed dramatically, as the internet and telecommunications (ICT) revolution continues to mature. We now face a future in which artificial intelligence will increasingly make routine work obsolete. Looking forward, professionals in international affairs will need a dynamic, technology-reliant, quantitatively-rigorous, but still people-oriented skill-set. This workshop will feature speakers from a diverse set of international affairs fields that will speak to what this new skill-set should include and the resources and experiences to build it. Panel: 1pm -2:30pm Featuring Yvonne Hubbard (recruitment expert in international affairs); Marcus Casey (economist from Brookings Institute and professor at University of Illinois at Chicago); and Chuka Asike (Diplomat, U.S. Department of State). Mentor-Mentee Interactive Workshop: 2:30pm -3pm
