The 2025 Colin Powell Leadership Institute invites you to join us on Monday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. ET when we will be joined by Henrietta Ighomrore, Senior Policy Analyst specializing in sustainable energy access, security, and resilience. With extensive experience shaping energy policy reforms across Nigeria, the ECOWAS region, and corporate energy initiatives, Henrietta brings deep insight into global energy solutions and will lead us in a dynamic discussion.
During the session, we will reflect on how shifts in U.S. climate policy, particularly regarding the Paris Agreement, impact international alliances and domestic strategies for advancing global stability. We will also consider the balance between national interests and global responsibilities in climate action.
Speaker Bio
Henrietta Ighomrore is a Development Sector Professional and Senior Policy Analyst, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions that enhance access, security, and long-term resilience. With extensive experience in emerging economies, she has played a pivotal role in energy policy reforms in Nigeria, strategic energy planning across ECOWAS member states, and corporate strategy development for high-impact initiatives. Her expertise spans policy analysis, management consulting, project management, and capacity building, underpinned by a strong commitment to research-driven, globally relevant solutions in the energy and development sector.
An alumna of the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) DC, where she earned a Master’s in International Public Policy, Henrietta also holds an MBA from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, equipping her with a unique blend of strategic insight and policy acumen. Her work is at the intersection of policy innovation, energy security, and economic development, positioning her as a key thought leader in shaping the future of sustainable energy in Africa and beyond.
